Who We Are
ATA Services, Inc. is an accounting firm specializing in tax and accounting services as well as QuickBooks consulting and training services for individuals and small to medium-sized companies. The firm is not a CPA firm as defined by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
David L. Chapman, CPA

Dave is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, a former audit manager with Price Waterhouse, and a veteran of the United States Navy. In 1988, after serving ten years as vice-president of an oil and gas accounting services firm, Dave entered private practice which he continued until the formation of ATA Services. Dave is a Certified Public Accountant, an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, a QuickBooks instructor at Lone Star College — Tomball, a Certified Sleeter Group QuickBooks Consultant, and a member of Intuit's Trainer/Writer Network (TWN). Dave is married, has two grown children, and is an active member of Spring Baptist Church.
As of February 2, 2009 Dave is now GranChappy for Caden Lee Chapman, a future prospect for the firm.
Pat Chapman
Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Pat has been with the firm since its inception. Pat is normally the "gal behind the scenes" but takes a very active role—especially during tax season. Pat is an accomplished tax professional and accountant with 20 years in the business. Most recently, Gram, as she is sometimes called, has taken on the responsibility of overseer of our prospective trainee.
Judy Roberts
Judy brings her organizational, accounting, tax, teaching and people
skills to our firm. She has solidified our front office, along with
Stephanie Moore, to establish procedures to account for work flow,
phone calls and job status. Additionally, she has been quick to adapt
to a new tax program and the issues of working on the accounting and
taxes for multiple and varied clients. Judy is married and has three
grown children, including a Spring High School Senior, and one
grandchild—with another on the way.
Stephanie Moore
Stephanie brings her organizational, administrative, and
people skills to our firm. Along
with Judy, Stephanie has worked to establish procedures to account for work flow,
phone calls and job status. Additionally, she has adapted quickly to our tax program, QuickBooks, and the issues of multi-tasking on varied clients. Stephanie is married and has a son and daughter in college.
Linda Harrison
Linda is our temporary transplant from Oklahoma where she worked 20 years for a CPA whose accounting and tax practice is similar to ours. We coaxed Linda out of early semi-retirement with the idea of working with us while she stayed with her son and his family, including three of Linda's grandchildren. She has adapted well to our environment and with the aid of technology, will be available to contribute long-distance throughout the year.
Prospective Trainee—Caden
Caden Lee Chapman is our prospective trainee. He was born February 2, 2009 to proud parents, Chris and Crystal Chapman, who will oversee the training and education. They will be supervised, of course, by Gram and GranChappy as well as Grandma and Granddad. We think he may be a bit flashy for the accounting profession but that is to be determined.
